Relaxation and Restoration
Life in the pandemic has yielded gifts and challenges, while the state of our social and political systems continues to rock our world at its core. The constant call for presence, action, and advocacy so easily interrupts the balance we’ve learned to create for ourselves and the sense of safety we share with others. This year’s UU Women’s Retreat provides space to nurture passion and renew your spirit through beloved community. Our program offers tools and opportunities to relax your mind and body, and restore your spiritual strength.

What to Expect
Attendees will be welcomed with care to this year’s retreat. Once settled in your quaint dormitory, enjoy a light dinner and refreshments as you meet friends known and new. Saturday programs will offer a smorgasbord of open-choice activities including labyrinth walks, meditations, massages, arts and crafts to ground your body and inspire your spirit. Tasty meals and snacks (breakfast and lunch) will be provided as well as options for dinner on the town, with friends, or on your own. Sunday will complete our retreat with a delectable brunch, worship, social time, and closing circle.

- A wondrous weekend on 20 acres of natural land in Lanoka Harbor, NJ the home of Universalism in America
- Shared accommodations at Murray Grove Retreat and Renewal Center – single and double rooms available in Friedrich or Weakly House

- Dinner on the Town with friends – The Harbor town of Lanoka and Lacey Township boast local and chain restaurants. Dine-in with a group of friends, or have a delicious meal delivered.
- Massage by Zaina – Mini Massage and Full Body Massage will be available on-site throughout the Retreat, book a private session with Multi-modal Massage Therapist and Reiki Practitioner, Zaina B
Proposals Accepted
Friends, Murray Grove Retreat & Renewal Center is looking for restorative practices and UU women to facilitate workshops and activities at their Annual UU Women’s Retreat this Fall. To share proposals that align with the theme “Relaxation & Restoration” please send a brief description of your program offering to programs@murraygrove.org with “Women’s Retreat Proposal” in the subject line by Monday, September 12th.
