Since joining Murray Grove as Interim Executive Director in May, Louis Quinones has been working behind the scenes to help shape the next chapter of one of New Jersey’s most historic and inspiring places.

Louis brings more than a decade of nonprofit leadership experience, along with a passion for building strong communities through collaboration, transparency, and meaningful relationships. As the Founder and CEO of Community Lifestyle in Hoboken, he developed programs that have served thousands of children, teens, and families through youth development, literacy, recreation, leadership, and community engagement.
At Murray Grove, Louis has wasted no time getting involved. Working closely with the staff and Board of Trustees, he is helping strengthen the organization’s foundation while exploring new opportunities to expand Murray Grove’s reach and impact.
His focus includes building stronger relationships with Unitarian Universalist congregations, connecting with local and state officials, developing partnerships with community organizations, and introducing more people to Murray Grove as both the Birthplace of American Universalism and a vibrant destination for retreats, events, educational programs, and community gatherings.
“I believe Murray Grove has tremendous potential,” Louis says. “It has an extraordinary history, an incredible campus, and a mission that continues to be relevant today. My goal is to help more people discover this special place while working alongside our staff, Board, volunteers, and supporters to ensure Murray Grove continues to grow and thrive.”
Louis is known for a leadership style that is approachable, hands-on, and relationship-driven. Whether meeting with community leaders, speaking with UU congregations, collaborating with the Board, or simply getting to know visitors on campus, he believes lasting success begins with listening and building genuine connections.
As Murray Grove continues moving forward, Louis is helping lead efforts to increase visibility, strengthen partnerships, and create new opportunities for people to experience everything this remarkable campus has to offer.
